This website hosts articles written by former full preterist Dorothy Anderson.

I appreciate Dorothy's committment to the pursuit of biblical truth, with no concern for the pull of cliques and crowds. I am especially joyful to see her full appreciation for the historical work of the Holy Spirit in leading Christianity over the last 2,000 years -- while still challenging "accepted" interpretations. This type of free-thinking is honoring to the Lord, in my opinion. It challenges the opinions of those in the church at large, without being rebellious or disrespectful to the Christian Church itself. This is no small accomplishment! Here is something very nice Dorothy recently had to say to me:

"Thanks so much for the support and the kind words but most of all thank you for forgiving me my transgressions against you. Those here may not realize that you are the curator of the Preterist Archive and that you were the first to renounce hyper-preterism publicly. I would say you have been quite instrumental in slowing their growth. I do hope everyone will check out your site because it has a wealth of information. I know the attacks on you were relentless for what - almost 2 years? That took a lot of courage and fortitude and I must say you have certainly paved the way and set an example for others of us. I know you have witnessed my calls for sound doctrine..so you know that my main thrust has always been for the health and welfare of the Church and I’m not easily intimidated or silenced there. I also don’t happen to buy into a system that diminishes the work of the Holy Spirit and imho the foundation of HP is built on that. Looking back, I just cringe. Now I know the purpose behind those scriptures sitting beside my computer that kept pricking my conscience. I was just not at peace in those areas."

Here are her earliest pieces:

Return from Oz (2008) "When you battle full preterism, you often do it alone because there are so few who know the system well enough to come to your aid. For those who have left, it is often hand to hand combat if they elect to speak out, so many remain silent.. I can profess that while full preterism has straightened out some areas, I am confident that full preterism is not the final answer and creates larger problems than it solves."

Hyper Preterism for Dummies (2009) "It is common to hear talk about leaving their Church families – due to the conflict of their position or because they see too much error being taught. (This adds to the problems for those who leave the view because they have no Church support)"

The Devil is in the Details (2009) "My position today is this: If they want to lay claim to the start of the next reformation, they must have a prepared response here. Luther wasn’t negligent in that area. Since their position requires a defeat of Satan, inquiring minds want to know. Who or what is/was Satan that proves this scripture is fulfilled?"

Re-Shuffling the Creed Deck (2009) "What has happened in hyper-preterism is their eschatological (end times) position requires them to redefine, or at best reschedule the resurrection and after 25+ years, they still have no unified solution to offer. You would think that would give them a clue that maybe they have a real problem. Instead, they are still arguing over what the resurrection represents. So their supposed answer to eschatology has resulted in a major creedal failure."

It seems as though those in that circle believe that if a person opposes the full preterist view (even while continuing to endorse preterism of another sort!), then they are given over to hate and that their testimony is consequently not worthy of consideration. The lack of any call for restraint coming from those in the HyP circle of leadership underscores the widespread consent with this type of extremist rhetoric. Here is what one HyP wrote following Dorothy Anderson's recent departure:

Mike Sullivan: "I will say the same thing about you that I did Roderick. I pointed out how there is no middle ground and that Roderick's heart would eventually get harder from his sin of rejecting and compromising the Word of God. That is the road you are on.. And because of this, reading you (like Roderick) will end up being a complete waist of anyone's time." (PretCoz Yahoo)
